FAQ

Common Questions

Everything you need to know about supported accommodation. Can't find your answer? Drop us a line directly.

Supported accommodation is housing that includes extra help for people who need support to live more independently — from managing bills and mental health, to life skills and getting back into work or education. It provides a stable environment to rebuild your life.

Generally, supported accommodation is for people who are homeless or at risk — including those with mental health needs, substance misuse issues, young people leaving care, or those fleeing domestic abuse. We assess each person individually to determine how best we can support them.

Not always. We also support those in unsafe or unsuitable housing — such as people fleeing domestic violence or leaving institutional care. If you're unsure, reach out — we're happy to talk through your situation with no obligation.

It depends on needs and progress. Some people stay a few months, others longer. We create a person-centred support plan reviewed regularly with you. The goal is always for you to move to independent living when you're ready and confident.

You can apply through local authorities, probation services, or support agencies. You can also contact us directly by calling, emailing, or using our contact form — we'll walk you through the process or help get you referred properly.

Support is a required part of your stay — but it's not about controlling your life. It's about making sure you get the help you need to move forward. We work with you, not for you, and your plan is built around what matters most to you.

The food programme is incredible. I came in with nothing and they made sure I had meals and someone to talk to every week. Moving to my own flat felt possible because of them.
